Yes, any turntable can go wireless: connect a Bluetooth transmitter to its output. If the deck has a LINE/preamp out it's plug-and-play; if it's PHONO only you must add a phono preamp in between. Your quality ceiling is the weakest link — usually the codec pair between transmitter and headphones.
What you need
- Bluetooth transmitter with RCA or 3.5 mm in (aptX HD/LDAC for quality, aptX LL for video sync)
- Headphones or speakers that support the same codec
- RCA cable (usually included with the transmitter)
- Phono preamp — only if your deck is PHONO-out only

Step 1 — pick the right output
Turntables output at one of two levels, and picking wrong is the #1 cause of distortion:
LINE out (or "preamp out")

PHONO out only
Needs a preampAdd an external phono preamp between deck and transmitter: deck → preamp (RCA) → transmitter. Budget preamps from $20 work; a ground wire from the deck's GND screw kills most hum.
Don't feed a raw PHONO signal into a line-level transmitter. Phono signals are ~1,000× quieter and need RIAA equalization — you'll hear flat, harsh, noise-dominated audio, if anything at all.
Step 2 — connect and pair
- Power down the chain
Deck off, transmitter off, headphones off. Order avoids thumps in your ears later.
- Wire it
Deck/preamp RCA out → transmitter RCA in. Red to red, white to white. Power the transmitter via USB.
- Pair codec-first
Put headphones in pairing mode, then the transmitter. Both must support your target codec — check our codec profiles if unsure.
- Level & listen
Start at low volume with a familiar record. If it sounds thin or harsh, re-check Step 1 — that's almost always a PHONO/LINE mix-up.
Step 3 — the codec reality check
Bluetooth is a chain, and vinyl's noise floor is unforgiving of extra processing:
- aptX HD / LDAC — the quality picks if both ends support them; effectively transparent for a phono source.
- aptX LL / Adaptive — choose these if you also route TV through the same transmitter; vinyl doesn't need low latency, video does.
- SBC-only pairs — workable, but the codec's compression is audible on cymbals and vinyl crackle. Worth upgrading one end.

With aptX HD or LDAC on both ends, most listeners can't reliably tell the difference on a phono source in blind listening. SBC is where vinyl noticeably suffers. The weakest link is the codec pair, not the fact that it's wireless.
