The Tour One M2 record

JBL’s documented Auracast record runs through its Tour line, with the Tour One M2 carrying the fullest paper trail: its product page lists a spec-table row reading "Supports Auracast: Yes," and its feature list includes the line "Bluetooth 5.3 LE audio*," tying the claim to the radio generation that carries LE Audio. The Tour Pro 2 and Tour Pro 3 product pages carry the same Auracast row in their spec tables — per-model rows on JBL’s own paper, not a retailer’s paraphrase.

The product’s update notes — published on JBL’s support site — give the arrival its date: version 5.6.0, dated November 29, 2024, is recorded as adding Auracast support, and a later entry (version 6.1.0, May 30, 2025) enabled LE Audio Unicast using the LC3 codec. So the documented sequence is headphones announced in 2022 and on shelves from early 2023, then a firmware lane that brought Auracast to them afterward — an upgrade path rather than a launch feature. What the spec sheet says — and omits

JBL’s Tour One M2 documentation is unusually instructive about what manufacturers choose to print. The official spec sheet lists Bluetooth 5.3 and the profile versions (A2DP 1.3.2, AVRCP 1.6.2, HFP 1.7.2) and contains no music-codec line at all — classic-codec support for the M2 comes from review coverage, which reports AAC and SBC. The product page, meanwhile, lists "Supports Auracast: Yes" in its spec table.

Reading the two documents together gives the complete picture, and it is a picture worth internalizing for any brand: the radio generation, the profile versions, the Auracast row and the LE Audio feature line are all checkable facts; the classic codec set may be documented nowhere official. Buyers comparing JBL models should read the spec sheet for the radio and the product page for the feature rows — and treat a missing codec line as information too, in the way our JBL codecs page records it.

Checking any JBL model

The per-model check takes three steps, all on JBL’s own paper: the product page’s spec table, where Auracast appears as a "Yes" row where supported; the feature list, where the "Bluetooth 5.3 LE audio*" line marks the LE Audio generation the SIG’s standard builds on; and the update log, where JBL documents feature arrivals by version and date — the mechanism behind the M2’s November 2024 timestamp.
